Jill Goodwin is a wife to her high school sweetheart, mother of three grown sons, and a grandmother to two precious granddaughters. She is an active Christian who is involved in various ministries at Church of the Messiah and is also an advocate for Compassion International.

She has been involved with early childhood for over 26 years. She started out as a mom interested in her child's preschool experience and began by working in a cooperative preschool. Quickly falling in love with early childhood, she began to substitute teach and later pursued finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education.
She was instrumental in establishing The Nativity Preschool in Northborough , Massachusetts , where she was lead teacher for 3's and 4's. She created a special discovery science room and such a quality program that this school became a highly sought-after preschool where children were placed on a waiting list when they were born! (1990-1994)

The School at Christ Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, hired Jill to be the Director of their small school in 1994. Over the next few years the school expanded into three buildings, offered 14 classes and doubled in size. Families found this program through word of mouth recommendations from friends and neighbors. Even elementary teachers from surrounding schools made it a point to let the school know how impressed they were with the students from The School at Christ Church . Throughout these years, Jill helped to educate and minister to over 1,200 students at this school. (1994-2007)

God then called her to a new ministry - to start a preschool in the Hickory Flat area of Canton, Georgia, which became Messiah Christian Academy.  Jill’s desire to respond to this call that God put on her heart led her to start a preschool at her church so as to participate in its vision to help families to become strong in life and in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Messiah Christian Academy was opened in the Fall of 2007.  MCA's humble beginning started with 14 students and 5 staff members and 3 classrooms. Currently the school is using 7 classrooms and has 17 staff members and over 80 children. The school's educational degreed teaching staff and hands-on developmental approach to creative learning has children learning their academic and social skills while developing a love for school. Our Christian environment continues to nurture the students to have a love for Jesus. (2007- present)
